Ortelius Community Recognition Program

Recognizing our Members for Their Hard Work

Our community members are dedicated to tackling the challenges of continuous vulnerability management. As an open-source project, we operate with limited funding for swag, but we deeply value the contributions of those who support our mission through technical efforts, outreach, or both.

To honor these exceptional individuals, we have established the Ortelius Recognition Program. Contributors who meet specific criteria will earn an award badge as a token of our appreciation. Participation is open to everyone, regardless of expertise level. There are four tracks for involvement:

Champions

The Ortelius Pathfinder Badge recognizes contributors who put Ortelius into action by implementing it for private or open source projects. Pathfinders help expand the Ortelius ecosystem by onboarding projects, connecting software supply chain data, validating real-world use cases, and demonstrating how Ortelius can improve visibility, traceability, and vulnerability management across deployed applications.

This badge honors individuals who move Ortelius from concept to practice, helping others see the path toward stronger software supply chain security.

Achievement Levels:

  • Bronze - Implement 1 open-source or private project
